Today is a day for the first time in a while where I didn’t force myself to do anything. I just followed what I felt like doing at the time.
I stayed in bed until past noon, until my hunger became unbearable. I got coffee and a pack of nuts. I am trying to lose my belly. I went back to bed after a shower and then did a little bit of work.
I keep getting distracted from work. I also don’t have a lot of work, either. Not much pressure.
Then I ran into a movie. It’s a movie available on Youtube called Before We Go, directed by Chris Evans. I honestly clicked the movie from seeing his face in the thumbnail, haha.
Anyways, here I am watching a movie without great expectations. It was a subtle movie, and the time frame is a single night. Two strangers meet and the woman whose purse gets stolen receives help from a man who cannot make himself attend his ex’s wedding reception.
Both of them get their closure unexpectedly. Sometimes you are meant to run into certain people.
I think after moving back home, I was a little excited for a while out of vengeance. Then I returned to my normal state. I have fasted most of the day today, so my mind is clear. No one is home, so I have the space to myself. From day until darkness I stay within the premise of my bed. My bed. I love my bed. It’s where I feel most comfortable.
In the end, the two say good-byes at the same place they met. The following lines I resonated most with were:
- But you love him.
- You are going to meet this girl, and you will think that she needs your help. You will then realize that you needed help more than she did.
- You cannot let the person who loves you choose how you love.
Sometimes there are no explanations. You will reach a crossroad, and don’t forget that you always have a choice. You can run away, choose a new home, or decide to stay.
You always have a choice.
